Hello Friends,

It's Monday and I want to get a super start on the week, so I prepared a super easy peasy card.  There are days when we need a card that doesn't require loads of work or hours to prepare.  I hope today's card will fit the bill.

For today's card I used the largest focal image and sentiment from the Summer Blossom set.

   Here's the card:

If you are a recent follower to my blog, I will warn you that I have been playing with a lot of different techniques for coloring cards.  Today is no exception.  I started with Classic White cardstock then stamped with Memento Black Ink, I then used these Copics to color and shade the flowers.

I used my Copic Air gun and sprayed the entire image using this collection, it slightly changed the colors or the different colors, slightly, I was OK with that aspect.  It gave every thing the same tone of aqua.
I removed the blue tones from the areas I wanted to remain white using my Copic Colorless Blender, then I shaded back in again using the same color collection.  The Copic Colorless Blender is often called a color mover or lifter. That is what I did today...I lifted the color off the areas and cleaned off the blender tip on my working sheet of paper ( I always have a sheet of legal size paper under my work).  This kept my tip clean and allowed me to remove the color I wanted off.  Kind of reverse thinking.

The rest of the card I kept really simple, using a Spellbinder dies embossing folder and pearls to accent.  No ribbon. no stick pin, no flower embellishment...Really simple.  Some times this is just the perfect thing.  I got my note right off in the mail.

I hope you enjoyed the straight forward approach I used today.  Thanks for taking the time to visit the Atelier.
Ciao,
