Hello Friends,

Before i get into the thick of things for today's post be sure you visit the Flourishes Blog, for some hints of what to come in the very near future from Flourishes

I am glad you came back today to revisit one of my personal creation for last Christmas.  Since many of you are new to my blog, you have not seen this before.  I like it as much this year as I did last year when I first created it.  Today I am highlighting Christmas Candles set.

Here is the card that I made with one of the images from the set.

I used a soft almost sage green for the card.  A new shade of green for me at Christmas, but I love the softness of this card.  I think it allows the image to take center stage.  The image and card base were both made using Flourishes Classic white paper. The card is 6"x6".  The image was colored using these Copics:

Here is a close up of the candle so you can see the light touch I used in coloring.

Lots and lots of my Sakura Gelly Roll clear glitter pen and My white Essential pen for adding in berries to the rings around the candle and on the candle itself.  The Copic  Cool Neutrals were used to give depth to the candle.  A hint of Yellow, lite blue, and red markers makes the flame look real.  The Copic  Water collection was used around the edges of the Hurricane globe again to give it depth.  I cut a Fleur de Lis rectangle in Sage Shadow and used two different sheets from the Memory Box, Yuletide group.  The top layer of paper had little star bursts that I accented again with my Gelly Roll glitter pen.  The card is finished with May Arts White silk ribbon.

I hope you are inspired my my Christmas past card.
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Atelier today.  Leave a love note, if youu like.  I love to hear your take on my creations.

Ciao,

I love this card, particularly the soft colours and gentle touch you have given it. It's perfect.
