Hello Blog Friends
To get ready for next week's big August Stamp Release, we're ushering in a festive challenge! Not only will it celebrate Flourishes 5th birthday, but it will give YOU a chance to win our new release! So, put on your best party attire and get ready for the....
HOW TO PLAY: This challenge is going to be super duper easy peasy. Why? All you need to do is create a birthday creation. It could be a card, a tag, a 3-D object, ANYTHING! As long as it celebrates a birthday, you'll be in the running! Please remember, entries must be in by August 10th at 5PM EST to be eligible. If you upload to Splitcoaststampers, please use the key word FLLCAUG12. And, don’t forget to link up your creation right here on this post using the Inlinkz link widget below. Use Flourishes stamps if you have them — Flourishes entries will be counted twice! But, if you don’t have Flourishes, play along anyway, you could WIN some!
Need some inspiration? The design team created all kinds of birthday goodies - from decorations to cards to invites to treat boxes -- you name it, they have been inspired!
I'm suffering from some stomach discomfort this week, so I wanted something quick, easy and still cute, but not too difficult. Having the new Flourishes Color Made Easy selections made this come together easily and quickly. Here is my little gift bag and card. I found this gift bag tutorial on Pinterest and was inspired to try it out. The size and amount of decoration and emblishment is limited by your own desire. Great for any celebration or even just a gift card size.
I made it using the new Color Made Easy Paper, Ribbons and Ink that Flourishes released yesterday. No hassles at all, the color choices were a breeze. I used these two Color Made Easy Paper and Ribbon Collections:
True Blue Paper Collection
Sunflower Paper Collection
Danube Blue Memento Ink
Antique Gold Ribbon
The Kids Play stamps set was perfect for a gift bag and card for a 5th birthday and gift bag I kept things very simple. I tied all the colors together by using a piece of striped paper from my stash, adding buttons and Ivory Jute bows. Viola!
Here is how it was done
So, hop on over and see….
